Local Studio
Personal Windows application

Privacy policy

Local Studio is a personal Windows tool for its owner’s connected YouTube channels. This policy describes the app and this information website.

Effective 3 November 2026.

Google and YouTube data

With the account holder’s consent, the app receives OAuth access and refresh tokens, channel identifiers and names, and video metadata, privacy, scheduling and processing status needed to confirm uploads. It reads only the account data needed for its upload and verification workflow. It does not request passwords, Gmail, contacts or Google Drive access.

What stays on the PC

OAuth client configuration, account tokens and resumable upload URLs are encrypted using Windows DPAPI for the current Windows user. The local SQLite database also contains video file paths and fingerprints, metadata, approvals, scheduling details and verification history. Backups can include these records and encrypted credentials. They are not uploaded to this information site.

What is sent to Google

When an approved job starts, its video, optional thumbnail and approved metadata are sent to Google’s official APIs. OAuth authorization and status requests are also sent to Google. Google handles uploaded content under its own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.

Access, sharing and retention

The app has no remote database, advertising tracker or third-party analytics. Google user data is used for the authorized upload and verification features; it is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models. An AI agent authorized by the owner may operate the local tool and read its review and status output. Credentials are excluded from that output. Local records remain until the owner removes them or their backups.

Disconnecting and deleting data

Disconnecting a channel in Local Studio removes its saved local tokens. To revoke Google’s grant, visit Google third-party connections. Disconnecting does not delete YouTube videos or local upload records. The owner can stop Local Studio and remove its local data directory and backups to erase local records, or manage uploaded videos directly in YouTube Studio. The app shows the data location on its System page.
